Unit Meetings Reinstituted for the Energy Study and Consensus

It is important that all Louisville League members participate in the energy consensus because the positions that emerge will be used to advocate for changes in Kentucky policies.  To facilitate a thorough discussion of the issues, the Louisville League will revive  discussion “Units.”   The units are smaller groups of members who meet, not to hear speakers, but to critique and discuss the information they have received from the study committee, materials, and speakers, as well as their own research.

Our League will offer daytime and evening unit meetings for our first restoration of units as follows:

The Morning Unit will meet November 10, and December 8, at 10 a.m.

The Evening Unit will meet November 15, and December 13, at 6 p.m.

Each League member should attend one of the unit meetings in November and one in December, if possible. Both units will meet at Lang House.

At the units, members will consider and discuss the pros and cons of the issues and come to consensus on the nine study questions presented in “The Elegant Solution in Energy.”
